A sober night out

I went out last night for more or less the first time since giving up drinking. I didn't drink, although I nearly had a no alcohol beer, although I kind of think that's cheating. I didn't, though. I went to The Regal, the Castle and the Fountain, for those of you who know Cambridge. The Regal was as much of a hole as ever, I seriously considered nicking a candlestick from the Castle (not quite sure what got into me there) and saw a man in a turtleneck in the Fountain. I couldn't stop staring at him. Oh, and they had a toilet attendant in the Castle in the gents. My friend Ross paid him £3 over the course of the time we were in there, until finally I would take his money away from him before he went to the toilet. Ross also told me about the time he went to a lapdancing club. It was a big eye-opener I must say. But generally, drunk people are boring when you are sober. It's a testament to Ross that he wasn't too boring. Generally a big success.
