Ice

I went to see a great film last night called Chasing Ice, as part of the Cambridge Film Festival (that's where I live).  Went on my own, it was nice and chilled, I didn't really know what to expect.  Anyway it was a great documentary about a photographer who did some time lapse photography on glaciers to try and provide visual evidence of climate change. He called glaciers "the canary in the coalmine of climate change", and talked about them dying which was probably not too far from the truth seeing how far they receded in the few years he was doing the project.  As you can imagine, doing timelapse photography in the Arctic is technically fairly tricky.  Anyway, a really great film.  It's on again at some point.  At the end I thought, maybe I'll get a twitter account to share links etc about the environment, remind people to turn their computers off.  Not sure.
