Uncle Vanya

I'm reading Uncle Vanya at the moment. I saw it in London last year. It was so amazing but we were up in the circle. I need to find out about Chekhov's politics. I'm assuming he had politics because he's Russian but I think that's an oversimplification. I'd like to see a timeline alongside a timeline of other things going on in Russia at that time. I saw The Cherry Tree once too. Basically I really like Chekhov. I need to go to the theatre again when Lockdown really ends.

Next I'm going to read a book about Jung. He's almost certainly deeply suspect for some reason but I'm kind of drawn to him. Wasn't he the father of psychoanalysis? Or something.
