I didn't think this would be so many links, but it is. I hope they don't get deleted and leave holes in the internet. This is the life story of a lady with learning difficulties who spent a long time in hospitals. I found out about her through an Open University Course about inclusive education. I never completed the course for various reasons but I still have the two set books that I bought which are both great. She got involved in self-advocacy and then wrote her life story. It's quite dark so if you get upset by that kind of thing maybe don't read it.
