Xmas and snow

It's been snowing here, which is making everything feel very xmassy, but which is a bit annoying as I can't ride my bike anywhere. I'm also knitting my first pair of socks (see below). They are in hibernation at the moment as I've hit a difficult bit and I'm steeling myself to tackle it. I'm also going to start knitting a vest top. This will be my first garment - I'm on my way to self sufficiency. The Spanish for snow is "la nieve" by the way.
